Women in Tech event this Friday

This may be of interest to our Deac women in tech:

Women In Tech event, Friday, April 12, 3-5 p.m., Women’s Center (Benson 314). Information Systems is partnering with the Women’s Center to host an informal Women in Tech social and networking event for Wake Forest students, faculty and staff. All are welcome;  we especially welcome our Women in Tech colleagues and students.”

Spring Club Dance Showcase

One of the organizers of our Spring Club Dance Showcase shared this with me, and it might be a great option for your students:

2024 Spring Club Dance Showcase, Saturday, April 13, 6 p.m., Brendle Recital Hall. Join us this Saturday at 6 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall for a collaborative showcase highlighting the works of Wake Forest University’s club dance organizations. This event will feature performances from Ballroom Dance Club, Deacon Dhamaal, Irish Dance Club, Lost in Translation, Momentum Crew, and Setting the Groove.”

Springfest and Echosmith concert

Encourage your students to attend Springfest, one of our signature spring events:

Springfest, Friday, April 19, 4:30-9:30 p.m., Upper Davis Field.  Join Student Union for our annual Spring Festival and Concert featuring food trucks, carnival games, student performances, and a sunset concert featuring Echosmith that starts at 8 p.m.!”

Interfaith Seder opportunity

I got notice of this annual event that may be of interest to your Deacs:

WFU Annual Interfaith Seder (RSVP), Tuesday, April 23, 6 p.m., Magnolia Room. Join us as we travel through time and rituals in our 10th annual Wake Forest Interfaith Passover Seder. This is an interactive, experiential journey filled with food, prayers, songs, readings, and discussion. All are welcome: no previous experience or knowledge is necessary. After the Seder, which is less than an hour, we enjoy our Festive Fellowship Meal with matzah ball soup, brisket, chicken, fish, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, and macaroons. This is also the second night seder. If you have questions, contact Gail at bretangh@wfu.edu.”

Move-Out email

The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent this message to resident students about the move-out process at the end of the semester.
