At Wake Forest, we don’t just accept your students in the admissions process—we say we accept their families, too! We want to get to know you, and want you to feel comfortable about your student’s new home.
Wake Forest + Families
Your student is at the center—and is the focus—of this important partnership. From the time your child is accepted until graduation, here are a few ways that we stay in touch with families.
The Daily Deac blog
The Daily Deac blog is just one way in which we share important news, offer advice about supporting your students, and cover a variety of WFU activities and events to help you get a sense of campus life. You can subscribe and have the Daily Deac sent to your inbox each weekday around 5 p.m.

How we communicate with families
Learn about how we partner with families, and when you will hear from Wake Forest, in our How We Communicate page.
Additional ways we communicate to students and families include the following:
- Family News – any campuswide emails are posted here
- Opt in to Campus Safety Alerts – download the WakeSafe app and enable notifications to receive safety alerts
- Wake Parents & Families E-Newsletter – sent via email around the 15th of every month to all families of currently-enrolled students (i.e., students on campus)
- WFU Should Know Student E-Newsletter – sent each Thursday to all students
Wake Forest leads in global and experiential learning
Wake Forest has a vast array of study abroad opportunities. 83% of Wake Forest undergraduates received credit for study abroad in the 2022-23 academic year and summer of 2023, placing Wake Forest fourth on the list of leading doctoral universities. For information on study abroad opportunities, visit Wake Forest’s Study Abroad website.
In addition, we have an incredible ‘study away’ program in Washington, DC called Wake Washington; read about what a Wake Washington semester looks like.
