Today is the last day of our fiscal year. If you have not made a gift to the Parents’ Campaign of the Wake Forest Fund this fiscal year (July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022) we hope you will consider making one today. All gifts, no matter the size, are needed and appreciated. Many thanks to our Deac families for all the various and amazing ways you support Wake Forest throughout the year!!

Incoming ’26 students received a message around lunchtime today about immunization compliance and our Health Information and Immunization Form (HIIF), which is due July 1st. This message asks ALL incoming students to log into their Student Health Portal to ensure that they know their immunization compliance status:

Steps for new ’26 students [reminder: students’ logins and passwords should not be shared with anyone, including their parents/family members.]

Log into the Student Health Portal with your WFU email address.

Look at the IMMUNIZATION COMPLIANCE banner that appears at the top of your screen (pictured below, click to enlarge).

Example of the new student portal banner

If you see green checkmarks for all required vaccines in the IMMUNIZATION COMPLIANCE banner, you are in compliance with University policy. No further action is needed.

If you see any red Xs for required vaccines in the IMMUNIZATION COMPLIANCE banner, it means you are not yet in compliance OR that your documentation was recently submitted and is still processing, OR that your initial upload was not received. You should check your Secure Messages in the Student Health Portal to see if any additional information is needed.

Please allow at least three (3) business days from when you submitted your documentation before checking to allow for processing. Additional details can be found here.

Incoming ’26 students also received a message today that included a reference to the Orientation schedule:

Welcome Week (Wednesday, August 17th through Wednesday, August 24th): There will also be welcome week opportunities to precede the first day of classes, with move-in starting Wednesday, August 17th. Colleagues across the University have pulled together an exciting schedule for both new and transfer students. A tentative schedule can be found here. Please be advised that in the future, our New Deac Welcome Week schedule will only be available via our Orientation app, which you will receive access to in mid-July.

P’26 families, you can use the tentative schedule now and we will share the Orientation app as soon as it is finalized mid-July.

Final exams for Summer Session I will be held today and tomorrow. Good luck to all our Deacs on their final exams! Students who have been staying in residence halls will check out by 7 pm on Friday, July 1st.

Summer Session II move-in begins on Tuesday, July 5th from noon-5 pm. You can see the summer session calendar here under the Academic Services section.

Because tomorrow is technically the start of the new academic year 2022-2023, we also turn the page on parents.wfu.edu and update some of those pages. You will note that our Incoming Families page now refers to families in the Class of 2027 (who will begin in August 2023 – next fall); that is meant for Early Decision families whose students will be admitted in the coming weeks and months. The First-Year page now refers to P’26s – families whose students will start this fall.

P’26s should continue to use our New Students website, Parents and Families section as your primary website for info related to move-in, Orientation, and all action items for your incoming students in the Class of 2026 starting this August. The New Students website, Parents and Families section will continue to be updated through August 21st, then once the semester begins on August 22nd, it will be sunsetted until next May when the Class of 2027 enrolls.
