In this Issue: Welcome, Campus Day visitors!

It was an overcast and muggy morning on campus, but as I write this late morning, the sun is coming out and it is shaping up to be a lovely day.

Today will be brief because we have a lot of action on campus for Campus Day (more on that below). This weekend, we have Wakeville arts fest, the University Theatre production of The Tempest, and more. You can check out the full slate of events on The Link.

Welcome, Campus Day visitors!

Today is one of my favorite days of the year: Campus Day for Accepted Students. It’s a day for accepted students and their families to come to campus and visit, participate in tours, lectures, seminars, and more.

If this year holds like past years, probably half of the students who attend have already decided on Wake Forest (yay!) and half are still deciding. For those who are still deciding, my sincerest wish is that you end up at the school that is best for you – and if that is Wake, fantastic, but I want you to be where you will thrive.

I had the pleasure of talking to many students and families this morning before the opening session in Wait Chapel, and it was lovely to meet everyone. Special thanks to folks who let me know they read the Daily Deac – especially the students! You absolutely made my day!

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend – and for any of our Campus Day visitors who make the final decision to enroll at Wake following today’s visit, welcome to the Wake Forest family!
