In this Issue: Face to Face with Anderson Cooper, Nov. 21
Today I am on my way to Raleigh to celebrate my ’27’s birthday, so this is a prepost.
Our next Face to Face speaker series event will be on Thursday, Nov. 21 and it features journalist Anderson Cooper. There has been a lot of buzz and excitement for this one, and the 7:30 keynote for the general public is already sold out.
Thankfully, Anderson Cooper is doing a student-only talk at 5 p.m. in Wait Chapel. Students can pre-register for tickets or show up the day of the event with their Deacon OneCard.
The doors to Wait Chapel will open at 4:00 p.m. for the student event and his remarks to students will start at 5:00 p.m. Note that there will be a security check prior to entering the chapel.
Because the 7:30 p.m. event is sold out, all Students who want to hear from Anderson Cooper are asked to attend the student event.
On a personal note: I have referred to Anderson Cooper as my Internet Boyfriend for years. His mom passed away two years before mine did, and I discovered his All There Is podcast about grief and loss as I was settling her estate. If you are looking for a really empathetic, interesting, and compassionate look at loss, I highly recommend his podcast.
