Email about Thanksgiving break and room inspections
The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent this message to resident students about preparation for the Thanksgiving break, including room inspections. Key points to note:
Residence Halls will be OPEN throughout the break. However, there will be limited staff on-site.Â
All University Offices will be CLOSED on Thursday (November 23) and Friday (November 24). For emergencies, or to contact on-call staff, call University Police at 336-758-5911.
Dining hours may be LIMITED. For specific hours, please refer to Deacon Dining’s website at deacondining.com.
Rooms will be entered between November 19-21 and may be reentered over the break. Staff will enter student rooms during the break to perform inspections and routine maintenance.
Note that closer to Thanksgiving break, we should have more details on hours of operation for dining, shuttles, and more. If your Deac is planning to stay here for Thanksgiving break, they will want to plan ahead to ensure that they are aware of dining hours and plan accordingly for their needs.

“The Center for Global Programs & Studies invites the campus and local community to the 2023 Night Market, the final offering of International Education Week events to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of free global food tastings, make & take crafts, eclectic music from our resident DJ Austin Torain ’24, and vendors for early holiday shopping.”
