I was walking around campus this morning and I have to say, it looks beautiful. We are in the final days of prep for the biggest day of the year, Commencement. I found a little countdown clock online, so our P’23s can click here for to see it.
Time lapse of yesterday’s work on the Quad
If you’ve enjoyed the time lapse videos of Commencement prep on the Quad, I have yesterday’s issue (5/11) for you here. One reason you might want to take a peek at this, P’23s, is to gauge where the sun is at various times in the day. I know the clock face of Wait Chapel is a little blurry, but you can still make it out (on a laptop anyway) if you are trying to see where the shade will be between 9 a.m.-noon(ish).
Again, the weather is still looking like there is a chance for rain. Please be prepared! And in the event of hazardous weather, you can see how that would be communicated.
Mural and Magnolias on the Mag Quad (aka Manchester Plaza)
P’23s, do yourselves a favor and be sure to visit the Mag Quad (aka Manchester Plaza) just south of Reynolda Hall and get some pictures of your graduating Deacs by this awesome mural that was just created (click to enlarge).
And while you are there on the Mag Quad….stop and smell the magnolias! They are in bloom now and are stunning. One of the best scents of the South!
We’re almost there, P’23 Deac families! I can’t wait to see all the love shown to our graduates and the justifiable pride their families have for their accomplishments.
