It’s one of the happiest weeks of the year: Pitsgiving is this Thursday!

Pitsgiving is a Thanksgiving feast for your students – a chance for them to dine with their friends, hallmates, and classmates and have a Thanksgiving meal with their ‘family away from family.’ This is a high-energy, happy event. Your Deacs can get all the turkey, stuffing, gravy, and typical Thanksgiving side dishes and desserts they can eat. Pitsgiving will run from 11 am-3 pm for lunch and 4-8 pm for dinner this Thursday, and is held in the Pit. Here are some pictures of Pitsgivings past. You will note that it is always a packed house. Urge your Deacs to go to Pitsgiving!

In other news, we always like to share when the Letters So Dear message gets sent to the Class of 2025 and fall transfer students; this went out on Monday of this week. In addition, our Weekly Message for First-Year Families went up; this week’s message is about holiday traditions taking place from now until December 1st.

For students in Bostwick and Johnson Halls (who will be making the move to the newly-renovated Luter over the Winter Break), they received this message about prepping for the move.

Finally, this message from Residence Life and Housing was sent to students who are slated to select rooms for the spring semester on December 8.
