We’re going to go lighter on content during Winter Break, so expect some shorter Daily Deacs. I heard from our Pinstripe Bowl planning team that the pre-game party is nearing capacity, so if you want to attend, please register ASAP to secure your place. Similarly, if you are going to the game and have not bought tickets, please do so this week (ticket purchase here) – and if you cannot go, please do consider buying tickets and donating them back for another person to use. That would be a big way to help WFU.

I was at a conference in November for parent and family relations professionals; some of my counterparts at other schools are doing periodic webinars for parents and families.

My first venture into this territory is about study abroad. This is geared mostly towards parents and families of first year students and sophomores who might be considering a semester abroad. This webinar talks about the process of finding study abroad programs and applying, as well as your housing situation depending on whether you go in the fall or spring.

If you have a Deac considering study abroad, hope this will be helpful. To access the webinar, click here. You will need to enter the following password: Abroad2019 (all one word), then press the Play button and adjust your volume as needed.
