Summer is a lighter news time for us, so our Daily Deacs are likely to be shorter, with more practical, tactical information. This one is just for the P’23s – the New Deac Week (aka Orientation) schedule is out! Kudos to my colleagues in the Office of Academic Advising for getting this out so early – they knew from years past that families wanted it earlier in the summer, and they delivered 🙂

Here is what they sent me:

Our New Deac Orientation app has officially launched and we are excited for you to explore the 2019 NDW schedule. Visit the following LINK to download the WFU Orientation Programs app (New Deac Orientation 2019) to your mobile device.  You will find the most up-to-date information, including schedules, maps, and much more. On a laptop/desktop computer or unsupported mobile device, visit https://guidebook.com/guide/136098/  to access the content in your web browser.

So you can decide if you want to use the app via Guidebook (easy to use, I recommend), or if you want to look at the schedule via a web browser.

Helpful hint: choose the SCHEDULE BY TRACKS option, then select Parents & Families (which will show you the activities meant for you), or the First Year (which is what your students will be doing).

Tons of great things await our new Deacs!
