It’s time to start talking to your students about their interest in joining a fraternity or sorority.  Here are some important dates to keep in mind as you have these conversations:

Panhellenic Formal Recruitment (for women):

Recruitment registration opened on October 6. The link is available here, along with other pertinent information about the process. Please note that all participants are required to move in on Wednesday, January 4th by 5:30 pm.

Panhellenic Meet & Greet is on Tuesday, October 18th (last names A-L) and Wednesday, October 19th (last names M-Z). Both nights will be drop-in events from 5-6:30 pm in Benson 401.  This is an optional opportunity to start meeting sorority women in an informal setting.

Is your student still unsure? She can attend “To Greek or Not to Greek?,” a panel and discussion for women who need a space to explore the pros and cons of participating in the formal recruitment process.  It will be on Tuesday, November 1 from 7-8 pm in Benson Center 409.

Interfraternity Council Recruitment (men):

Fraternity recruitment will take place after classes begin in January, and registration will open in late November.

IFC Meet & Greet will be on Wednesday, October 19th from 6-8 pm in the Magnolia Room in Reynolda Hall). This is an optional opportunity to start meeting fraternity men in an informal setting.

National Pan-Hellenic Council recruitment (for the nine historically African-American fraternities and sororities):

There is no coordinated process for these fraternities and sororities.  Please direct any questions regarding intake to Betsy Adams.
