This message was sent in regard to students who have not provided documentation related to the influenza vaccination.

Dear parents and families,

Today, your student received a reminder from Wake Forest regarding the University’s influenza vaccination policy. Students are required to provide proof of vaccination for influenza by December 15

We know that many students will be going home for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we encourage you to discuss their plan to get their required influenza vaccination and help them get their flu shot at home if needed. Because there are already cases of influenza A on campus, we encourage students to get their vaccine as soon as they can to decrease their chance of getting the flu.

Students who fail to comply with this policy by the December 15 deadline (and who have not been approved for an exemption or granted an extension of time for compliance) will not be permitted to attend in-person classes this spring, reside in University housing, or participate in in-person activities until such time as they satisfactorily comply.

Thank you for your partnership in these important public health matters, and we wish your family a wonderful holiday season.
