This message is sent on behalf of University Police.

Wake Forest students, faculty and staff,

The following public safety announcement is to urge caution if traveling to or through Washington, D.C., or any state capital over the next 5-7 days. Law enforcement officials are preparing for possible protests and the potential for violence in all 50 state capitals ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20.

Please be attentive to news alerts before and during travel. Be cautious of misinformation that may circulate on social media sites. Go to a reliable news source; local, state/territory emergency management website or your state department of transportation websites for information regarding public safety and travel conditions.

We do not anticipate any disruption to University operations. If you plan to travel, please do so safely.
