It rained most of yesterday. There is 100% chance of rain today (and only a high of 47, brrr!), and an 84% chance of rain tomorrow. Cold rain when walking to class is no fun. Yesterday I saw a bunch of students, no umbrella, no raincoat, walking from campus out to Deacon Place (just off campus) and it made my mom heart hurt. I hope your Deacs all bundle up and stay warm and as dry as they can.

On to today’s top stories…

Two question survey for you on your perception of Wake Forest

I need your help, Daily Deacdom. I am working on a project about how Daily Deac readers (primarily families, but some students, faculty, and staff too) think about Wake Forest.

Please help me out by answering this short 2-question survey.

It’s anonymous and should only take you a minute. But you will be helping me out a lot if you participate, so thank you!

Walk with Wente: meet Dr. Lina Benabdallah of Politics and International Affairs

Want to learn more about current research in our Politics and International Affairs department? Watch the newest installment of our Walk with Wente series featuring Dr. Lina Benabdallah.

Dr. Benabdallah teaches international relations, based on her experiences and research in China and the African continent. I loved her quote about how she isn’t trying to teach her students to ‘answer specific questions in a specific way, but to give them the tools to ask all the questions.’

You can see all the past editions of Walk with Wente here.

OPCD webinar recording for P’27s and P’28s

The OPCD has posted the recording of the webinar “Internships & Insights: Guiding Your Student Toward Career Success” for P’27s and P’28s, as well as the list of the resources and website links, so that all of your students may benefit.

Wishing you a warmer and dryer day than we are having!
