The day after Commencement feels a bit like a hangover: you are tired, you want to stay in bed, you crave carbs (or maybe that is just me!) It takes a small army of Wake staff to set up all the events and the physical seats/stages, to run the events, and to break it all down afterwards, often with very early (or late) call times. So in the day or two after Commencement, there will be many of us who are working in what I would call low-key mode 🙂

Commencement photostories

We had a variety of photostories about Commencement weekend. You can view them at these links:

Commencement photostory

Whether you are a P’24 with a happy graduate or a P’25-28 looking ahead, you can see some of the best images of Commencement weekend via our Commencement photostory.

Baccalaureate photostory

Happily the rain held off and we did not have any families waiting in the rain to get into Wait Chapel for Baccalaureate. See the photostory here.

Celebration of the Class of 2024 photostory

The rain on Saturday did not dim the joy of our Class of 2024 Celebration. We moved from the soggy Manchester Quad into the Sutton Center upper and lower gyms due to the rain. I was one of the staffers who worked this party, and it really was a lot of fun. Our students (and their P’24s!) danced and visited and shared a celebratory drink together. The lower gym was a little louder and rowdier, the upper gym a little more relaxing and conducive to conversations. See the pics here.

P’28 Weekly Update

It’s Tuesday, which means our P’28s get a new Weekly Message. This week’s message is all about Pre-Experiences. P’28s can read it here. Yesterday, your ’28 students received a message about Project Wake and other important reminders. See new student messages here.
