Baseball gets a thrilling win over LSU; we play again Weds. at 7 p.m.
Y’all. That baseball game last night was INSANE. We had a 3-2 win over a formidable LSU and it came down to a couple of extraordinary plays.
I hope you were watching and that you were rooting as hard as you could, whether that was in Omaha or the comfort of your own couch. I was playing as hard as I possibly could and I was absolutely exhausted at the end.
If you didn’t see the game – or if you just want to relive its magnificence – you can read the recap here. I was dual tracking by watching the game and keeping an eye on Twitter (during the game, Wake Forest was trending at #8 I think) and some of the Twitter commentary was, as the kids say, extra 😛
Our Deacs will play the winner of tonight’s game between LSU and Tennessee. Our game will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. this Weds. GO DEACS!!!!!
Weekly Message for New Families and important immunization info
Because it’s Tuesday, we are sending new families their Weekly Message; you can read it here. I want to draw new families’ attention to this one item:
“We have seen a high number of new students incorrectly uploading their immunization documentation and health information forms. Students cannot simply upload a PDF of their immunization documentation and satisfy the immunization requirement. Every new student needs to input the dates of each immunization in the Immunization History form so that the immunizations can be added to their medical record and seen by healthcare providers during office visits.”
Again, you will want to read the full message, because there is other timely info in it. But the immunization piece is a hard deadline of July 1 and there are downstream issues if your student is not compliant, so that is why we are stressing this one so hard.
The weekly message for new students went out on Monday, and you can read it here.
Let’s keep all the positive energy going for our baseball team. As my umpire husband says, “I just want them to win their last game.”
