Although it is Valentine’s Day, today my heart is heavy, as I am sure many of yours are, as we struggle to process the senseless tragedy and loss of life at Michigan State University.

As both a mother of a soon-to-be college student and a blogger, it doesn’t feel right to me to try and make a Valentine’s Day post talking about fun things happening here today. Instead, I would ask you all to consider taking a moment and sending whatever positivity and love you can to Michigan State’s students, faculty, staff, and administrators. I am sure they will take all the positive thoughts, prayers, and well wishes we can send.

May there be peace and healing for all those impacted by this terrible event. Today, we are all Spartans.
