The trees on and near campus are just beginning to turn.  In another few weeks, the trees will be bursting with glorious color.  And if you are a fan of fall foliage (or if your students are), I recommend the drive down Reynolda Road past Reynolda House Museum of Art.  That particular stretch of Reynolda has large trees lining either side of the road.  The branches hang over the road to form a sort of canopy, and when the leaves are in their full fall glory, it really is a sight to see.

Speaking of Reynolda House, there is a wonderful new exhibition coming.  A Wake Forest friend of mine from Facebook posted this Tuesday: “Today was a cool day at work. Watched my colleagues off-load 23 huge crates full of modern and abstract art from the Smithsonian for Modern Masters from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Quick tip: Reynolda House is staying open late the first four Thursdays the show is open … MODERN THURSDAYS.”  More information about Modern Masters is online.  This is going to be an amazing exhibit, so please encourage your students to go and see some world class modern art.
