  • Student feedback needed for Bookstore

It’s the end of the week and I am sure your Deacs are looking forward to a couple of days to balance fun with studying for midterms or paper writing. It was weirdly chilly and windy lastnight, but today is going to be in the low 60s and tomorrow towards the high 60s, so I recommend enjoying the great outdoors.

I had a work commitment lastnight so I could not attend the David Brooks event, but hope many of your Deacs went and enjoyed it and could give you the recap.

Many thanks to those of you who wrote in yesterday to say you enjoyed the Five Senses post. That had been a fairly regular feature in the past, and somehow I got a bit away from it, but I will endeavor to add more in given the enthusiastic reception.

Short news today – just two quick topics. Wishing you all a great weekend!

Finding study space for midterms

One of the perennial challenges around exam times – both midterms and finals – is having an influx of students looking for places to study. (I was the kind of student that if I read my textbooks on my bed, I promptly fell asleep).

So they College works hard every semester to make study space available. Your students who might be searching can see the graphic below, or visit the Wake Study Space website. Good luck to all our Deacs who have midterms!

Midterm week March 2-6, 2025, Scales, Carswell, Greene, Kirby and manchester common spaces open until 1 am.

Student feedback needed for Bookstore

In yesterday’s WFU Should Know student e-newsletter, there was a call for student feedback via a Bookstore survey. Please encourage your students to complete that survey, as their feedback will be invaluable to our Bookstore operations.
