Some things to keep in your back pocket and pull out as needed if your Deac needs a boost
I had today’s Daily Deac written and published before lunch, and then midafternoon we got a Community Safety Advisory, which I am sharing below. Following that, I share some graphics which might be good to save and send to your Deacs when the right moment presents itself.
Community Safety Advisory: Suspicious Person
There was a Community Safety Advisory issued by Wake Alert today (Jan. 23) about a suspicious person. You can read the full advisory on Wake Alert, but this is an excerpt:
“University Police have reported a suspicious person unaffiliated with Wake Forest University entering unlocked spaces on campus without permission, including a faculty member’s office and the philosophy department library in Tribble Hall. He also has been reported in Benson Center. There is no indication that he has accessed any residence halls.”
If you did not get this safety advisory, but want to, you will need to download the WakeSafe app and enable notifications. I *thought* my notifications were enabled, but I did not get a ping on my phone. I went back into the WakeSafe app and enabled notifications, so I should get a ping the next time there is an advisory.
Some things to keep in your back pocket and pull out as needed if your Deac needs a boost
Winter can often bring the winter blahs – it’s cold (plus it’s cold and flu season), you are staring down at a semester of work and wishing you had a little more of the holiday reprieve of December. So it is not uncommon for our Deacs to need a bit of a pick me up on these long, cold, January days.
Today I am sharing some of the quotes in my Motivational file. You can see if any of these might be worth saving and sharing with your Deac on a day they seem to need a little lift.
