In news from the weekend, congratulations to our men’s soccer team for an amazing season. Although they did not win their final game, we are no less proud of them. Go Deacs!
And as your Deacs are balancing studying and taking their final exams, we hope they will take a break tonight to cheer on our women’s soccer team (see below)!

Our women’s soccer team is set to battle it out with UNC tonight in the 2024 College Cup Final. Families, please tune in to ESPNU at 7 p.m. ET to watch live and cheer hard for our lady Deacs as they look to make history!
Library Decorating Committee – wow!
Every year, there is a top secret Library Decorating Committee that creates an art installation in the atrium of the ZSR Library so that students can have a chuckle as they study for finals. I’ve been watching the work of this committee for many years, and I think this year they have outdone themselves.
The theme is Netflix: Are You Still Studying? and our secret committee has blended a variety of movie and tv show promos with images of key players on our campus. You can see the full range of phots here, but I will share a couple of my favorites below. If you are familiar with Squid Game, Home Alone, Better Call Saul and/or Breaking Bad, you will recognize these 🙂

I worked the Lovefeast last night and as always, it was a beautiful evening. It was great to see so many students there, considering that final exams begin today.

Spring only housing selection message
On Friday, the Office of Residence Life and Housing sent this message to students who will take part in spring housing selection. This will apply to students who are abroad this fall, or were not on campus this fall but will be here in the spring. Students should carefully read all the information in this message and use the resources in the message if they need assistance.
