Trying again: share your advice for our incoming P’28 families

Yesterday I asked you to fill out this form to share your advice with our incoming P’28 families to help make their transition easier. Apparently I checked a wrong box on the form settings and it was telling some upperclass families that they already filled out the form (since I did a save-as from last year’s form). My bad!

Please try again here with the corrected form. Thanks for your patience and for sharing your pearls of wisdom!

Housing selection update email to students

This message was sent to students who are required to live on campus (i.e., they have not fulfilled the residency requirement) but have not yet selected a room.

Storage Scholars: an option for moving, shipping, and storage

Some families (both incoming and current first-years) have started asking about options for summer shipping and storage. I am happy to share this message from Storage Scholars, a partner with WFU Residence Life and Housing:

“Dear Wake Forest University Families,

As we approach the conclusion of another academic year, the task of moving out can seem daunting. Wake Forest is delighted to collaborate with Storage Scholars once again, a WFU student-founded and operated company that eases the burden of moving, storage, and shipping for our families. Notably, Storage Scholars gained recognition on  Shark Tank last year, securing an investment from Mark Cuban, and now serves over 140 campuses nationwide.”

Read the full message. Every family needs to make their own decision on how they want to ship and move their student’s belongings, but we want to let you know that Storage Scholars is out there as an option. We remain so proud of our alumnus, Sam Chason (’20), who is the founder and CEO. Read the story of Storage Scholars.

Earth Month events

Encourage your student to join the Office of Sustainability and other campus partners in celebrating Earth Day and highlighting Wake Forest’s sustainability strides through engaging Earth Month events, experiences, and a renewed sense of community along the way.
