As we look to the start of school, our new students will discover – and our returning students will rediscover – all the dining locations on campus. And every year, we make some tweaks to menus and venues, so there will be new things to try.

There are lots of options for students. The Deacon Dining website shows locations and hours of operation. If you click on the icon for any of the venues in the What’s Open Now section, you can see exactly what is being served.

There’s a ton of variety in the many venues: salads, sandwiches, traditional meat and veg, pizza, sushi, pastries, juices/smoothies, and more. A perennial favorite for a lot of students is the make-your-own omelet option. Sometimes we have food trucks on campus too.

Your Deacs will find their favorite dining locations and dishes as the semester unfolds. They may even get to be ‘regulars’ at a given food station (my college friends and I were all early risers and had very repetitive breakfast orders, so a gaggle of us got to be known as the “Grits Girls” by the very kind lady who served grits every day).

Here’s a few pics to give you a preview of what they might find. Not shown: late night runs to Cook Out for milkshakes or Krispy Kreme for donuts. Many a Deac will find their way there too 🙂
