Today I have a handful of items for you:

A message went out this morning to the Class of 2021 and our P’21s about Commencement. I’ll give the Bottom Line Up Front here, but there are a lot of details, so please read the message thoroughly if it applies to you.

Bottom Line Up Front:

As previously announced, all undergraduate Commencement activities will take place on Sunday, May 16.

Students will participate in one of four Diploma Ceremonies that will take place in Joel Coliseum, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

A Commencement Celebration will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Wake Forest’s football stadium, Truist Field.

Graduates may register for two guest tickets. Registration will open at noon EDT on April 15.

A reminder to any P’20s who are still in the Daily Deacdom: we expect to have more information about the Class of ’20 celebration on April 30th.

In other event news, parents and families are invited to join the The Center for Entrepreneurship’s Virtual Entrepalooza on April 22nd from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The event features Wake Forest Trustee Ben Sutton (’80, JD ’83, P’14, P’16, P’19); the Center for Entrepreneurship Whitaker Executive Director, Dan Cohen; and student entrepreneurs. You can register for the event here. Guests will also be invited to view students’ Start-Up Lab Demo Day venture presentations and Deacon Springboard pitches on the Center for Entrepreneurship website beginning April 20.

Students got a message earlier this week about fall registration; you can read it here. This applies to undergraduate students P’21-24 who are currently enrolled, not new incoming students in the Class of 2025 (the ’25s will learn more about their registration process once the New Students website goes live on May 1st).

Speaking of fall classes, I got a flyer yesterday for a new arts and innovation class that will be offered. You can click on the picture to see more.

Some of you have asked me to elaborate from my earlier blog post about move-out and wanted to learn more about Storage Scholars. Storage Scholars is an official moving and storage partner of Wake Forest. It was founded by students and has operated on campus since 2017. They provided the following information for families about how their service works:

Storage Scholars distributes packing supplies on campus for FREE.

Students using the service pack their items up, take photos of everything, upload photos to their account, lock it in their room, and go home! No appointment is necessary and completely contactless.

Once final exams end and campus is vacant, student employees arrive to pick up the items and move them into an insured, temperature-controlled storage facility near campus.

When your student returns to school, their belongings will be ready and waiting for them in their new room.

You can learn more on our website.

We’ve had another stretch of spectacular weather in the Forest. If you aren’t regularly checking out the Quad Cam, do yourself a favor and bookmark it. Nice to take a glimpse every so often.
