Finals are finished and the semester is officially over! All that’s left is the grading.

Program note: I might have forgotten to mention the Weekly Message for First Year Families that went out in the last week or two. P’24 families can catch up here.

In a semester (and a year) that has been so challenging because of COVID, it’s been easy to feel stressed, sad, downcast. As I was perusing the archives of the Daily Deac, I saw a feature we ran a few years ago where we asked parents and families to share what they were grateful for now that the semester has concluded. It gave me a lot of joy reading the old responses and seeing the things that made those families grateful. It was a real pick me up.

So I’d like to try it again 🙂 For those who would like to share (anonymously) what they are grateful for, you can do so in this one question survey. I’ll collect the responses and if I get enough, will share a sampling of the entries in a future Daily Deac. You can share anything you want, of course, but moments of WFU gratitude might be the most fun for others to read.

Speaking of future Daily Deacs, I will be taking some much-needed time off this month, so I have pre-posted some content for days I will be out, and I’ll be featuring some holiday pictures from Wake Forest in years past. Hope you will enjoy them. This is a rare look at snow in December, which we got in 2018.
