Every year we have a Parents’ Campaign of the Wake Forest Fund. In a normal year, the Parents’ Campaign provides unrestricted funds that can be used for scholarship support for deserving students, faculty needs, innovative programs, the library, and more. In COVID times, the unrestricted funds from the Parents’ Campaign provides the University with invaluable resources that help us adapt to constant change and ensure the highest-quality education possible without sacrificing the safety of our students, faculty and staff.
Gifts to the Parents’ Campaign of the Wake Forest Fund are directly fueling the solutions that will power Wake Forest University’s path forward. This is the single most important way to support Wake Forest right now.
And we have a special opportunity in front of us: members of the Parents’ Council have issued a Show Humanitate Challenge, pledging $850,000 that will be added to the Parents’ Campaign total when we reach our goal of 1,500 new or increased Parents’ Campaign donors by June 30, 2021. You can learn more here, and make a gift today.
I don’t talk about money in the Daily Deac but for a couple times a year. But since we have this Parents’ Council challenge that could bring $850,000 more dollars to the Parents’ Campaign – and since the COVID-related needs are great – it bears a mention. So if you have not made a gift this fiscal year (starting 7/1/20), please consider making a gift. If you have given already, please consider a second increased gift to help us get the match. You can make a secure gift online, and at the end in the Additional Information box at the end, tell them the Daily Deac sent you 🙂
Thank you in advance for your consideration, and we’ll get back to our regular blogging tomorrow. One last item for today: the 2020 Annual Crime and Fire Safety Report is now available.
