One of the semi-regular features in the Daily Deac is Where In the World Are Wake Foresters, where you send me a picture of you or your Deac in WFU gear somewhere in the world. Obviously at this point in time, no one is going anywhere, and we are all in work from home or school at home mode. Someone in my office talked about the importance of the slogan “patience and grace,” because right now as we all adjust to the new normal, we need to have a lot of patience and extend grace to others.

Our very savvy social media guru has set up a hashtag #WakeFromHome. We’d love to have your student tag @wfuniversity in their Instagram story to be featured as they #WakeFromHome. Parents and families (and grandparents!), if you are on Instagram, please feel free to join in on the fun.

We have not sent any community-wide messages as of 4 pm today, which might be the first time in a few days with no major messaging. I am going to embrace the lack of “news” as an opportunity to share some much-needed pictures of campus in days past.

Stay inside, wash your hands, maintain social distance. I want everyone in the Daily Deacdom to stay healthy and well.
