As the week progresses and fewer and fewer students are here, there are typically changes to our dining locations and hours of operation. Your Deacs can see those changes here.

A reminder for families with students studying abroad: December 11th (TOMORROW) is when your students select their rooms for spring housing (based on their assigned selection time). This is very important: they need to log in at their selection time to have the best possible choice of rooms. All login times are in Eastern time zone (not wherever they are in the world). In other words, if their selection time is 9 am Eastern, that will give them maximum flexibility to choose rooms. But if they don’t actually log in until 10 am or 2 pm or 3 pm, everyone else will have been choosing rooms during that window. So make sure your abroad Deac is set to log in at the appropriate time on the 11th to select their room. All of this process has been communicated to them from Residence Life and Housing, but if they have questions they can contact RL&H directly.

I need to make a correction. In a Daily Deac in late November, we announced that the Registrar’s office would now require a passphrase to be able to share information about your student due to the FERPA law. The passphrase requirement has now been canceled, so you and your student will not need to create a passphrase (they do still need to grant you Proxy Access before we can share info).

Continuing our finals theme of laughter is the best medicine, here are some more finals memes. Having spent the last four and a half years in grad school, I am especially feeling the meme about group projects 😉

joke - 4 horsemen of procrastination joke on even Caesar didn't get stabbed by everyone who agreed to - ancient group project fail joke on how college discussion board posts are so elaborate general project joke joke - greatest lie the devil ever told is that you will finish the paper tomorrow
