This weekend is Homecoming, and your Deacs are seeing a lot of activity in prep for it. There is a massive tent that has been erected on Manchester Plaza (aka Mag Quad) for Party So Dear, our big Homecoming shindig, which will be held from 4:30-7:30 on Friday. The Temptations will be the Party So Dear band, which will be amazing. There are tents in other places too, for reunion class parties (this year we are holding reunions for classes ending in 4 and 9).

Homecoming is starting a little early for your students. There will be the Student Union Homecoming Bonfire tonight at 7 pm on Davis Field. Hope your Deacs will bring their school spirit to it. See the full Homecoming schedule.

I wish the Homecoming weather would stay as it is today. It’s mid 70s, sunny and breezy, and completely perfect. Tomorrow and Saturday will be warmer (hopefully not beastly).

An email went out late this afternoon to students, faculty, and staff about the malicious email situation; read it here. In addition, an email went out only to students living off campus reminding them of good safety practices; read it here.

Here are a couple of shots I took as I walked across campus today. These do not do justice to what is picture-perfect weather.
