Family Weekend date set: November 1-3, 2019!

Many of you have asked, and today we are finally ready with the answer: Family Weekend 2019 will be held the weekend of November 1-3, 2019. Mark your calendars now!

Also mark your calendars for the day that Family Weekend registration will open: that will be on Wednesday, July 10th.

Even though there is an Office of Family Engagement, it is actually the Office of the Dean of Students that plans and facilitates all Family Weekend events. They will publish information about Family Weekend 2019 on their website once details are available (which will likely be a few months from now). You will also register via that same website.

It would boggle your mind to know how many things have to be considered before the university can set this date – some of which are hotel availability, campus space availability, when is Fall Break, when is Move-In (Family Weekend can’t come two weeks after you drop your Deacs off), I could go on and on.

Anyway, we look forward to welcoming all our Deac families to campus in November – especially our newest P’23s with incoming first year students!
