I am still very much occupied with Orientation and academic advising, so today is (largely) a guest post. Wanted to make you aware we are working on getting slide shows and handouts from Orientation available online and hope to have that up on Monday. For our parents and families of upperclass students, want to draw your attention to a letter that went out to fraternity and sorority leaders about the importance of allowing the Class of 2022 to experience all of the Orientation programming (and not be diverted to other events): Orientation-2018-Message-to-the-Greek-Community

And now to our guest blog from my colleague Megan Bosworth (’12), Assistant Director of Alumni Personal and Career Development.

Class of 2018 graduates are launching their lives after graduation all over the country. To celebrate the start of this new chapter, WAKECommunities are hosting WAKEWelcomes to welcome the most recent grads into the alumni and parent family in their home areas!

Because the First Day of Classes is such a nostalgic time, we invite you to join fellow Wake Foresters on the First Day of Classes, Monday, August 27th for casual drinks, food, and a warm welcome to your new city!

Registration for WAKEWelcomes is now open! Click on your city and make plans to gather with alumni, parents, and friends in your new city! Registration is free for Class of 2018 Graduates – but you must register to join us!
