We’re back at it after a week of PTO and being totally off the grid.  It’s a gorgeous day, sunny and low 80s.  If one could complain about anything, it would be that the pollen is out in full force.  People’s cars have a green sheen on them and there are piles of pollen that have dropped from trees and onto the sidewalks and roads.

Since I am digging out of my inbox still, today I wanted to share a number of things other offices on campus have asked to have passed on to our Deac families.

Study Smarter, Not Harder
The Learning Assistance Center’s “Study Smarter, Not Harder” workshop series will introduce WFU students to a number of helpful strategies that will improve academic performance and help students prepare for final exams. Our last workshop for the spring semester is scheduled for this Thursday, April 20, from 5:00-6:00 in Greene Hall 145. Snacks provided.

Food – help your student stress less!
If your student is running low on their meal swipes, help them stress less by purchasing one of our exam blocks! Exams are stressful enough, so add the comfort of knowing you won’t run out of meals and keep the convenience of dining on campus! We have performance food that is packed with nutrients to fuel brain power during this exam period plus great study space in the Pit and New Pit!

Exam Block 7: $70 including tax – 7 meal swipes (5 are regular swipes and 2 are old gold swipes for retail locations)

Exam Block 14: $132 included tax – 14 meals (9 are regular swipes and 5 are old gold swipes for retail locations)

You can purchase these offers by calling our dining office at 336-758-5607 or visiting our office in Reynolda Hall room 12! Email barkley-sarah@aramark.com with any questions!

Dance Concert – The Spring Student Choreographic Concert is this Thursday; it gives WFU students the opportunity to present their choreography across a range of dance styles.

The Events Calendar has much more going on this week – your Deacs can check out the items that interest them.

Make it a great week, Deac families!
