Part of Wake Forest’s fight song goes as follows:

O Here’s to Wake Forest

A glass of the finest…

Keep Calm and Palmer On 4/6/17And tomorrow, your Deacs can get a double dose of Wake Forest deliciousness for Arnold Palmer Day.  The Traditions Council is sponsoring this event, and they described it to me as follows:

On Thursday, April 6th, the Traditions Council is hosting our 6th annual Arnold Palmer Day on Lower Quad (Mag Patio) from 11:00 am-3:00 pm. This year we will be commemorating and celebrating one of our favorite alumni, Arnold Palmer, as we traditionally do by passing out Arizona Ice Tea Arnold Palmer Tallboy Drinks to all Wake Forest students, faculty, administrators, and alumni.

We will also have a Master’s viewing party, our t-shirt sale, contests, and most importantly a toast to Arnie at 12:20 pm “the largest Arnold Palmer toast.” Here is a link to our Facebook page and event: https://www.facebook.com/WFUtraditionscouncil/

Arnold Palmer Day advertisementArnold Palmer was an amazing, amazing man. And as famous as he was – and he was nearly kinglike in the ways his fans adored him – he loved Wake Forest to his bones and never stopped.  I hope your Deacs will raise a delicious Arnold Palmer in his honor tomorrow!
