As your students look toward the weekend, there is an artistic event on campus they won’t want to miss.  VOX is opening at the Ring Theatre on Friday night.  Our University Theatre is incredibly talented, and students should take advantage of every opportunity to see performances there (as well as music, and dance, and art exhibits).

Here is a description of VOX, as well as information on how to get tickets.

Date: Friday, February 1, 2013
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: Ring Theatre, Scales
Admission: $12 adults, $10 senior citizens, $5 students
Description: In a country that is obsessed with voice (raising it, smothering it, reality-showing it), “VOX” will explore the tightrope we each walk that connects and separates us from one another.

“VOX,” is a high-energy performance exploration of our big mouths, slippery tongues and full-throated tales created by the company under the direction of internationally acclaimed performer Tim Miller.

Miller will shape the piece from the performers’ memories, stories and images of the history of their individual voices during an intensive rehearsal period building on his many short term workshop residencies at Wake Forest over the last ten years.

Open wide and dive in! “VOX,” is a performance that must be heard and seen.

Please note that seating in the Ring Theatre is very limited, and there is no late admission to this performance.
