I am back in the office after a few days of PTO, and am digging out of my inbox. And a warm willkommen to our guests for the next month or so. If you aren’t following @wfuniversity on Instagram, you should, because there is a lot of fun football (aka soccer) related content happening right now, like this.

Today will be brief – just a couple of academic notes of interest and a reminder of our Weekly Message for incoming P’30 families. Let’s go!

Academic Calendar updates

Students and families will want to take note that the 2026-2027 University Bulletin and the undergraduate Academic Calendar and associated supporting calendars for the 2027-2028 academic year have been published by the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). Here are a few notes from OUR:

“The Academic Services Calendar includes important additional dates that complement the Academic Calendar, including the first and second half of term dates, pass/fail deadlines, and additional grading deadlines.

[For students] There is an option to subscribe to a Google Calendar version of the Academic Services Calendar. Doing so will embed the dates and deadlines from that calendar into your personal Google calendar as desired. Open the Academic Services Calendar, click the button ‘View in Google Calendar,’ then click Add to Google Calendar using the link at the bottom of the page.”

If students do not subscribe to the Google Calendar version of the Academic Services Calendar, it is a wise idea to pay regular attention to the Academic Services Calendar to be aware of key dates like drop/add.

The undergraduate Final Exam Schedule for 2026-27 has been published.

Limited availability remains for students to join Business MS programs (Business Analytics, Management, and/or Accountancy)

My friends in the Business School wanted me to share this opportunity for graduates who are looking for their next opportunity:

“Following our June 1 priority consideration date, a limited window of opportunity remains for exceptional students ready to join the MS in Business Analytics or MS in Management programs this July, or our MS in Accountancy cohorts this August. We are streamlining the application process with our upcoming event, Deac in a Day.

  • By submitting an application before the event to their program of choice, they can complete their admissions interview after the session and receive a decision by Thursday, June 18th. 
  • In accordance with our commitment to financial accessibility, anyone extended admission will receive scholarship consideration.

Choice of Format:

  • In-Person, On Campus – Tuesday, June 16th: Step onto campus and experience the School of Business community firsthand. Intended for students in NC and surrounding states (mileage reimbursement available).
  • Virtual, Join from Anywhere – Wednesday, June 17th: Connect with our faculty, alumni, and enrollment team from wherever they are. Open to anyone!

So if you have a ’26 graduate – or a graduate from previous years – who is looking for an exceptional opportunity for business education, look no further!

Weekly message for P’30s on travel and transportation

As we do every Tuesday during the summer, we have a weekly message for incoming P’30s. This week’s message is about travel and transportation.

It’s worth a reminder that Greensboro is our closest airport, and that we offer shuttle service at designated breaks to Greensboro and Charlotte airports only, but not Raleigh Durham. If you/your student needs a reservation outside our posted schedule — or to Raleigh-Durham (RDU) — you can make a reservation through the rideshare of your choice, or Black Tie Transportation. Wake has worked with Black Tie for years and can recommend them.
