Wake Alert: Student Assaulted, Robbed on Campus
This is a Wake Alert message:
At approximately 2:15 a.m. today (April 30), a group of men punched and kicked a Wake Forest student and stole his phone from him near Farrell Hall and North Campus Dining Hall.
The student was taken to the Student Health Service after reporting the incident to University Police at 3:15 a.m. He appeared slightly injured.
The University Police and Winston-Salem Police Departments checked closely the campus and nearby areas, but found no one suspected of being involved.
The student told University Police that he was walking alone when a group of men approached him and then punched and kicked him many times at several places on his body, including his head. They grabbed his phone and left on foot.
He reported that he was attacked while walking near Farrell Hall and North Campus Dining Hall along the driveway that leads into Lot Q. He was walking from the Polo Road area at the time.
Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is asked to call 336-758-5911 or 758-5591. Or, they may use University Police’s online Silent Witness system to report information anonymously.
