The following message was sent to new, incoming undergraduate students

Dear students,

The College Board has indicated that AP scores from this spring’s exams will be released several weeks later than students and institutions normally expect.  As a result, many first year students might not receive their AP scores in time to apply them to their fall registration choices. To give students time to obtain their scores and adjust their fall schedules, we are extending the first year registration period.  We will begin registration rounds as scheduled on July 12-16.  However, we will also allow an add/drop period for incoming first year students from July 17-23, so students can revise their selections based on their AP scores.  Because we anticipate that many students will be making adjustments, we encourage patience through the extended registration period while seats in a variety of full courses shift and become available for registration.
