The University is aware of power outages in the Winston-Salem area that may impact internet access and class meeting and participation today. Should students experience challenges, please communicate directly with faculty.

A tropical storm warning is in effect and unstable weather is forecast for the Winston-Salem area.

The WeatherSTEM stations at the Miller Center (@WakeForestWx) and at Truist Field (@WFUFootballWx) provide real-time weather data for Wake Forest University and surrounding neighborhoods. On Facebook, Wake Forest Weatherstem and Wake Forest Football Weatherstem WeatherSTEM offers apps for iOS and Android.

Weather forecasts are also available on local TV stations WXIIWGHPWFMY and Spectrum’s News 14 and The Weather Channel.

In the event of a weather emergency, Wake Forest would use the Wake Alert emergency notification system to communicate with students, faculty and staff.  Learn more about alerts and updates from Wake Ready here.
