The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent this message to first-year students about housing assignments. Important excerpt:

“It has come to our attention that some incoming students were able to see tentative housing assignments in WIN and/or begin completing their Roommate Agreements in our Housing Portal. We are working with our colleagues to ensure this information is only visible once we finalize and release assignments.

Please know that these assignments are tentative and subject to change as our team is still working diligently to get every new Deac assigned. Additionally, as we work to manage occupancy and maximize the student experience, building and room assignments are subject to change prior to move-in. If your assignment is changed, you will receive a notification from our assignments team.

Assignments should not be treated as final until released by our office towards the end of July.”
