The following message was sent to Wake Foresters on Saturday, March 26th.

Dear Wake Forest community,

Yesterday afternoon, in a joyful ceremony that marked the start of a new era for our University, Dr. Susan R. Wente was installed as Wake Forest’s 14th president. As Trustees and proud alumni, we were honored to celebrate this milestone with our beloved Wake Forest community. It is a testament to our community’s enduring commitment to Mother So Dear that so many Wake Foresters chose to be a part of this momentous occasion in person. And many of you who could not attend joined remotely via livestream!

If you were unable to view the installation ceremony yesterday, we enthusiastically invite you to watch the ceremony video. You can also read the news story with photos and video about this significant event in our University’s 188-year history.

After yesterday’s installation ceremony, it was a pleasure to celebrate President Wente’s inauguration with the campus community at last night’s Inauguration Ball. Your enthusiasm for Dr. Wente and genuine dedication to Wake Forest are inspiring and energizing. We look forward to working with Dr. Wente and the Wake Forest community to write the next chapter in our wonderful institution’s story.

Sincerely,

Jeanne Whitman Bobbitt (’79, MBA ’87)
