Students are being notified this afternoon via email of financial holds on their accounts.   The emails for new students and returning students are below.  Parents and families, please urge your student to check his or her DEAC account, or if you are an authorized third-party payer on DEAC, you should check the account and make the appropriate payment to release the hold.

Email to new students who are starting at Wake Forest this August:

Dear New Student,

Student Financial Services would like to welcome you to Wake Forest.

The due date for fall semester charges was August 1, 2011 and we noticed that there is still a balance remaining on your student account. Due to that balance a system generated hold has been placed on your student account. We wanted to notify you so that you can resolve it before your arrival to campus.

For your convenience, you can view and pay your outstanding balance via DEAC by using the following link:  http://www.wfu.edu/fas/ar/deac/ and click on student login under the DEAC logo.

Please remember to set up parents and other third parties as authorized parents if needed. Student Financial Services does not set up accounts for parents or other third parties. Due to the Family Educational Right of Privacy Act (FERPA), students must authorize parents or other third-party payers to have access to their financial account. This is a quick and easy process. Please follow the following link for additional information: http://www.wfu.edu/fas/ar/deac/

If you have made payment to your student account within the past few days, then please disregard this e-mail. If you have questions regarding your student account, please do not hesitate to call 336-758-5234 or e-mail at sfs@wfu.edu. We will be happy to assist you. Please provide your student id when contacting our office for assistance.

Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you and your family to Wake Forest later this month,

WFU Student Financial Services
