Student Health Insurance Enrollment and Waivers

The Student Life office sent the following email to the Parent Programs office regarding the student health insurance enrollment and waiver period.

The Fall 2012 enrollment and waiver form will be available through the Student Insurance Program (SIP) website starting June 1, 2012. The open enrollment period is June 1 – August 27 and this is the time for students to enroll or waive coverage. The 2012-13 insurance rates have been posted to the SIP website along with instructions to enroll or waive via the enrollment, verification, waivers link. Deadlines and instructions will be communicated to students.

Please note the minimum criteria now include the following regarding international insurance plans: the plan must be provided by a company licensed to do business in the U.S. with (a) a U.S. claims payment office, (b) a U.S. telephone number, and (c) plan literature available in English.

Additionally, new degree seeking students beginning in the summer are now eligible to enroll in the plan we offer for summer session(s).
