The Office of Parking and Transportation has released the following information about vehicle registration for the Spring 2011 semester.

Special Notes:

  • Vehicle registration will not begin until January 3, 2011.
  • No permit will be mailed or placed in any on-campus PO Box. They must be picked up from the Parking Management Office, located in University Services Building (former IS building), Room # 131 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
  • Under all circumstances, your WFU ID and vehicle registration card will be required to pick up your permit.
  • For additional parking information, the Parking Rules and Regulations can be found online.
  • Due to limited on-campus parking supply, on-campus commuter parking permits will only be available to students returning from abroad.

Students Returning from Abroad

Students that have studied abroad for the fall semester and will be returning to Wake Forest University for the spring semester will be required to register their vehicle if they are a resident or commuter student.

All resident students can register on-line beginning January 3, 2011. Once registered, you can pick up your permit at the Parking Management Office the next business day. Your WFU ID and vehicle registration card are required at time of pick-up.

Commuter students cannot register on-line and must register beginning January 3, 2011,  in person, at the Parking Management Office located in the University Services Building (former IS building), Room # 131, at which time you will receive your permit. Your WFU ID and vehicle registration card are required at time of purchase.

Since there are a limited number of on-campus commuter permits available for returning abroad students, on-campus commuter permits cannot be guaranteed. Permits will be issued on a first-come basis beginning on January 3, 2011 with a cut-off date of January 15, 2011.

New Students

If you are a new student to Wake Forest University this spring and have a vehicle, it must be registered. You can register your vehicle on line.  Once registered, you can pick up your permit from the Parking Management Office the next business day located in University Services Building (former IS building), Room # 131

Freshman

Students that were classified as a freshman in the fall and have an existing freshman permit must keep that permit the entire academic year. Although your classification may have changed to a sophomore in the spring, you cannot purchase a resident or on-campus permit for the spring academic session. If you are a new freshman student this spring, you must register your vehicle on-line at  for freshman parking only.
