Resources from the University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center (UCC) shared the following information with the Parent Programs office.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) website has a Tips for Parents worksheet. While some of the tips might be especially applicable for families of first year students, there are a lot of good ideas on how to talk to your college student no matter his or her year. There is also a link to information for concerned family members or friends, which discusses options for supporting students if they are encountering difficulty.
The University Counseling Center is located in 118 Reynolda Hall, and can be contacted at 336.758.5273. Individual and group counseling to students on the Reynolda Campus is free, and all information remains confidential to the extent provided by law. Counselors are also available for phone and in-person consultation to students, staff/faculty and family members. On-call crisis counseling is available after 5pm and before 8:30 by calling Student Health Service at 336.758.5218.
