Information Systems sent the following message to the campus community.

——————–

Beginning Wednesday, July 2, 2014, Information Systems will perform required maintenance to the wireless network. The wired network is not affected.

What will happen?

  • From 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, the wireless network will be unavailable.

  • At 7:30 a.m. the wireless network will be available.

What will I see?

  • Faculty, staff and students will see a pop-up regarding trusting the certificate when connecting to the wireless network. There is no security risk when this pop-up appears and you may accept the certificate to continue. The pop-up you see will be dependent on the operating system you are using. Click on the help.wfu.edu page to view the possible pop-ups.

  • Visitors to Wake Forest University (non WFU faculty, staff, students) will need new visitor wireless accounts to access the wireless network. A sponsor for the visitor can click on https://netguest.wfu.edu/ to create a new visitor wireless account.  Sponsors can create new visitor wireless accounts on July 2, 2014 at 7:30 a.m.  Any accounts created prior to this time will cease to function on July 2, 2014 at 7:00 a.m.

How can I get help?
