Potential for winter weather over the weekend

A winter weather advisory is in effect from Friday evening through Saturday morning. Forsyth County and surrounding areas may experience inclement weather. There is a possibility for 1 to 2 inches of snow, wind gusts and challenging driving conditions. Icy conditions are possible into early next week.

Faculty, students and staff whose work may be performed remotely are encouraged to prepare for the possibility of a shift to remote learning and remote work. Take computers and chargers home this weekend.

It may also be helpful to begin planning for reduced staffing and/or reduced hours of operations for campus services.

Conditions may vary by region. University employees should use their best judgment when deciding whether to come to campus. If you are scheduled to work from campus and are concerned about traveling, contact your supervisor. Employees who are scheduled to work and elect not to report to work should use Paid Time Off (PTO).
