————————–

The University Police Department is continuing to investigate a December 8 hit-and-run incident in which a woman was injured near Wait Chapel.  Police investigators are asking the University community and others for assistance.

The incident occurred as Collen Brehm, an employee of Aramark Campus Dining Services, was walking across Wake Forest Road, next to the Chapel, at 6:55 p.m.  A white vehicle struck her as she left Parking Lot P and began crossing the road toward Parking Lot Q.  Witnesses reported seeing a driver and passengers in the vehicle, which did not stop after hitting Brehm.

Brehm was hospitalized after the incident, but has since been released.

Investigators ask that the University Police Department be contacted by anyone with information that may assist in the investigation.  To provide information to police, people may call 911 from a Reynolda Campus phone or 336-758-5911 from a cell phone or off-campus land line.  Information may also be provided online through the Silent Witness Program.
