The following information was sent from the Office of Parking and Transportation and is intended for students who will be returning to campus after spending the fall semester abroad.

Students Returning from Abroad:

Resident Students:

Parking permits for students who were abroad in the fall and will live on-campus in the spring, will be available to purchase on-line beginning January 3, 2017 at 9am. After purchasing your permit on-line, you are required to visit the Parking and Transportation office to pick-up your permit. Permits will not be mailed. Your WFUID and license plate registration card will be required to pick-up the permit. These permits are $262.50 for the spring semester and expire May 23, 2017.
Commuter Students:

On-Campus parking permits for upperclassmen students who were abroad in the fall and will live off-campus in the spring, will not be sold on-line. You must go to the Parking and Transportation office with your WFUID and vehicle license plate registration card to register your vehicle. We will be open our normal business hours beginning January 3, 2017. The cost is $262.50 for the spring semester and expires May 23, 2017.
Off-Campus – Winston Salem First Church permits sold out in the fall, but those who were abroad will have these permits as an option.

 

There are 2 off-campus parking permit options and they both expire May 23, 2017:

  1. Satellite parking (SP) at UCC ($37.50 for spring semester) Online January 3rd at 9am. Pick up in Parking Office.
  2. Off-campus parking (OC) at Winston Salem First Church ($157.50 for the spring semester)-Available in Parking Office Only.

Order on-line at http://parking.wfu.edu and then visit the Parking and Transportation Office with your WFUID and license plate registration card to pick up the permit.

 

Additional Information:

  • Please become familiar with the Parking Rules and Regulations for any changes that may have occurred while you were
  • Any student who purchases a spring permit will be required to purchase summer permits, if you will be attending summer school. The spring-only permits will expire on May 23, 2017.
  • RUSH students that arrive in early January must park legally in student spaces. Enforcement will be in place and parking rules treated as a business day. Additionally, move-in policies will be in place, so please review those guidelines about loading/unloading that we have posted on our website http://parking.wfu.edu for Winter Break parking.

On Monday, January 9 at 8:00 a.m., all students with an off-campus permit must be parked in locations that their permit allows, whether you have your permits on the car yet or not. Friday, January 13th, all student vehicles must have their permits displayed as directed.
