The following message was sent from Residence Life and Housing to all students who are on-campus or studying abroad regarding Fall 2018 housing.

Wake Forest University has a six semester on-campus requirement before a student is eligible to live off campus. If you are in need of living off-campus, prior to completing your six semesters of on-campus housing, you will need to complete the Residence Life and Housing Petition to be Released form. The Petition to be Released form can be found through WIN>Virtual Campus>Residence Life and Housing>Housing Application beginning February 5, 2018. All request must be submitted by February 16, 2018.

Cancellation requests of your petition must be sent to housing@wfu.edu by February 22, 2018. Decision letters will be emailed to you by the end of the day on February 23, 2018.

Do not sign a lease off campus until you have heard back from Residence Life and Housing our decision regarding your off-campus petition. Rising seniors, who will have completed their six semesters of on-campus housing at the end of Spring 2018 do not need to submit a petition.  The Petition to be Released form is only for those students who are not eligible to live off-campus for Fall 2018.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please email Erin Wallen at wallenea@wfu.edu or call 336-758-5185.

Take care,

Erin Wallen
