Greetings Demon Deacons –

The holiday season is upon us, and the only thing standing between you and a well deserved extended break are final exams!  The Office of Residence Life and Housing has some great news we would like to share with you.  Over the winter break, all laundry rooms in our facilities will be receiving brand new laundry machines!  All laundry rooms will have the current washers and dryers replaced with brand new machines which will be up and running upon your return to campus for the spring semester.  You will receive more information on the new machines and their features upon your return to campus in January.

To ensure we have a smooth transition of new machines into our laundry rooms, any and all laundry left in the rooms after winter break check-out will be immediately removed from the rooms so that the crews can easily do their jobs.  Collected laundry will be donated to a local charity in the Winston-Salem Community.  To avoid any loss of your property, please remove all of your items from your community laundry room prior to leaving for the winter break.  There will be no opportunity to claim your items if they are left in your community laundry room over the winter break.

The Office of Residence Life and Housing appreciates your cooperation and understanding, and we wish you the best of luck on your upcoming finals!

Best –

Wesley Todd, MPA
Assistant Director of Housing
